Carefully!!

I'll be cutting slots in the body, then inserting the main leg dowels into the central vertical strut.

It's not long until I'll be working on the legs, so stay tuned.

Poyks,

Like the Xmas cheer on the Eagle.  Just a thought, are you going to light the eyes with LED's?

I thought about it, but I think I'll use UV sensitive paint and shine the old "black" light on it instead.

Black light?  Hmm...  Well, at least it'll cut down on the battery costs for the machine.

I suppose it's out of the question to ask for a wind-up mechanism for the legs

I'm hanging out for some pics more than anything (btw no indication to rush the job) .

Is the model going to have a base like the dark horse one, Horsell common would be nice (standing over a glowing pod).
Are you going towards the original feet or the new ones in the CGI movie?

plz post something new soon, i'm dying here !

Next pics will be posted at the weekend.

I'm still unsure about the design of the feet, any suggestions welcome. As for the base of the model, I love the idea of Horsell Common!

Poyks,

More over the weekend?  Okay.  As for the feet - would it be a copout to use the Original Flat circles? Maybe.  And there's not a lot of reference material (as far as I'm aware) for the enhanced version, is there?  It'd be nice to use the A3 piccy as a backdrop but I think your machines going to be much bigger than that... So I'm not sure...

Would the next project be a Handling Machine (simular body...) then you could use a few Star Wars figures as captives - the Bib Fortuna figure suddenly springs to mind...!
