I guess there is no gun, because in the book the tripods also have no weapons installed, but carry them.

Why just do not you go to a trustworthy bookstore and get the book?

I went to Woking recently and saw the Martian. Thought the structure was cool, but was expecting it to be a lot bigger than it was. I took a similar picture to the first one on this thread on my phone.. looks cool.

I would also like to see Woking one day.

And Nottingham, because of the Robin Hood stuff I liked so much when I was a child. But that is another topic...

Quote: Hey where is the Heat Ray gun? I can't see the funnel. It still rocks, so does the crashed pod thingy, but whats the other thing my pc wont let me look at it?

I read a description of these installations once, and if my memory doesn't fail me, the red thing depicts the bacteria that killed the martians.

I live near sherwood forest Calmar, and let me tell you it's dissapointingfor robin hood fans.

I'm actually in Chertsey at the moment, just down the road from Horsell Common and I've spent the last two days in the area. Weather permitting I'm off to the common tomorrow to get some photos. The place is huuuuge.

I'm just editting the pics I took of the tripod in woking and will post the best later, might even upload a zip of the rest for you die-hard fans
