Correct, the "Ullas" are done via Synth + Talkbox in the live show, though they were Guitar + Talkbox (like the "wa-oo wa-oo" stuff in Horsell Common and the Heat Ray) on the album.

Yes, of course, but we have not got a voice box that makes those sounds unfirtunately, so I should imagine the sound effect will come with the licence? (with another fee! You should see the list! Sheet music hire:£750
Backing tracks: £££
Costumes: £££
Props: £££
It all adds up!)
Anyway, wee have a soundboard here, so we can just press the play button when it is needed.

You could make a talkbox.... I did! That or sort out a compromise between backing tracks and live music - have some of it live, and the rest in a backing track? Perhaps investigate the possibility of this?

I did think of doing a compromise, things like the bass riff of the horsell common and the heatray track, should in theory be easy to do. I have already learned the heatray moment in artilleryman and the fighting machine (after the eve of the war reprise) and 'the chances of anything coming from mars' on the piano, but I am very rusty on it. I don't kow wether we have any synthesizers on our keyboards at school, so for instance, the 'chances of anything coming from mars' (the bit with no lyrics) might need to be done on the flute (with an extra charge). We'll figure something out surely.
Anyway, how do I make a talkbox, I am a very 'makey' person, if I know how to make something, I will!

Try a Youtube search for "How to make a Talkbox". There are a few different options to look at, but any should work.

Just another quick query, but, I have an animation test (Non-profit) and I wondered how to upload it onto 'user content'. I understand you need a youtube account, but how do I get them onto this site?
