Have to check out Tommy is it really a rock opera or just a musical play?
Either way it's set in WWII times and that's a pretty good setting.

Quadrophenia from what i am reading is alot like The Wall, but instead of being about anti social hang ups it's about schizophrenia particularly.
The Wall may even have been inspired by that one.

Tommy is most definitely a rock opera rather than a musical.

I found this list if you wanted to check it out, not sure I would classify them all as rock operas though. You could also check out Hedwig and the Angry Inch - not exactly my cup of tea, but it is rock

Thank you for that, it's something for me to check out and have other options.

I am pretty much done with the WOTW musical, i finally got to hear it in full in early 2011 for the first time ever.
And pretty much listened to it too much.
It needs to go on a shelf for a year or so before i hear it again, like a really good book game or film, the more time you go without seeing it, the more you forget about it and so you enjoy it all over again.
