I stopped staring towards the sound. It seemed as as if that mighty desert of houses had found a voice for its fear and solitude

I guess, spending a lot of time "there" would do that to you!

Hello I am Facelift2006 and this my first ever post. Dead London was my classic one. David Bowie loved it so much he used it for Slow Burn. A teacher played it to us in class in the early '80's. Not sure if I heard it before then. Once got LP for my birthday and remember through the years losing the booklet, putting to back of pile, getting uberpissed years later and digging it out for some crappy nostalgia over shitty daily life. Time passed and the album in a pile for a fiver.

And then it comes back.

Sadly, I have left it far too late to get tickets, but it will be shown on BBC FOUR, BBC ONE if we're lucky. Or would that muck up the DVD?

Hello Forum.

Facelift,

Just listened to Slow Burn - where'd DB use Dead London?

- UPDATE - Of course, the lyrics are about Dead London!

Welcome to the board, facelift!

You can check out http://www.getlive.co.uk/events/event_info.aspx?rid=132259 or mail Julia@jeffwaynemusic.com to see what, if any, tickets are left. anyone who still hasn't got any and wants them needs to hurry!

I'm told the DVD will be out sometime in November and the show will be played on TV, worldwide, sometime after that. There could also be a 'making of' documentary released on DVD and this is may well be shown on TV as well. The channels that will be playing the show have not been determined yet, but a distribution deal has been set up and there is a lot of interest. More on all this as we get it.
