Lol. Now myself, I have not seen the first pendragon film, but I would like to. I know just about everyone out there hates it, but it can't be all bad, you modern people!

It seems nowerdays, if a film has a story line, but does not have MINDBLOWING EFFECTS, you all hate it.

I mean c'mon, I watch such things as "The Blob", and "The Fly". And I love them.

I would really like to see pendragon's The War of the Worlds. And probly this version aswell. I have seen clips out of the thier first TWOTW film, yes the acting is wooden, and the effects are cheapo, but I find it fun to watch. When I see the terrible acting, I laugh, and enjoy the film.

So, try to look at it in a different light. As I have said, can't be all bad.

Ah, well you really need to see the full 3 hour version of Tim's version before you can really give a proper judgement, because its an abomination to be right honest. For me, effects are not overly important. I emailed Mr Hines and discussed this with him. The section relating to being buried under the house is pretty good to be honest, quite moody in fact. But the rest of the film is pretty cack. Awful acting thats so bad its not funny. I lke trashy naff films, but this is something else!

Looking forward to the new film though!!!!

Lol. AT LEAST THEY TRIED! When the likes of Steven Spielburg went against the true story on purpose!

Very true, and I'll be the first person to say that it's better to try, yet fail at something, then never to have tried at all. It's still naff though! And as for SP verision, well, it wasn't really TWOTW in my opinion. More like a nod and a wink really.

I've always stayed clear from the Pendragon film because I didn't want it to taint my feelings for the book.

I saw a funny video on youtube making fun of the Thunder Child scene saying that the when the martians screach/scream/howl it sounds like they just hit puberty compared to the other movie Steven made plus lots of other quotes about the scene.

I have never seen the first Pendragon version because I didn't dare to watch it after all I have read about it. I have seen some parts of it on youtube though.

To be honest this new one might be interesting. I like the approach of a documetary that just might work out good. There are two trailers to be found on youtube. This one has some footage that looks good, but the trailer from the first film also seemed promising and for all I know this could also be the only footage seen in the complete film... Who knows, time will tell.

Quite simply the original Pendragon "War Of The Worlds" film is bloody awful! I have the region 1 DVD and after 3 hours YES, THREE HOURS, we were just about demented. I would rather watch the live DVD of Jeff's concert than watch that tripe again.

In all honesty, Pendragon should not have made the movie! The animation is soooooooo bad. Cheap and nasty. BLEUGHHHHHH!

I can't see this being much better.....
