Based on HG Wells' dark Victorian tale, Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds remains a firm favourite to millions around the world, exciting audiences of all ages.

The Arena Tour was considered a cutting edge production with six trucks filled to the brim. But in 2022, which marks a momentous 16 years of live touring, the production will be up to 12, and with it, a host of ingredients and special effects that will challenge and excite the senses even more.

Jeff Wayne

Born in Forest Hills, New York, Jeff Wayne is an award- winning composer, arranger, conductor and producer for stage, film, TV, records, advertising and interactive projects.

Jeff’s musical interpretation of HG Wells’ ‘The War of The Worlds’ has achieved international acclaim, winning two UK Ivor Novello Awards and the USA’s 'Best Recording in Science Fiction and Fantasy', (judged by Alfred Hitchcock, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg). With 16+ million sales, it is also amongst the longest running albums in UK chart history, currently over 330 weeks, and in 2018 was ranked No 32 on the BBC's Favorite and Best-selling UK albums of all time.

Jeff will be returning to his podium in 2022 to conduct the Black Smoke Band and ULLAdubULLA Strings.

Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson is an internationally recognized actor. He has appeared in over 70 films, including Schindler’s List, Michael Collins, The Grey, Kinsey, the blockbuster Taken trilogy, Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace, Batman Begins, Love Actually and Gangs of New York. Over the course of his career, Neeson’s films have grossed over $7 billion worldwide.

Via 3D holography, Liam Neeson will appear full bodied on stage as George Herbert, The Journalist and interact with the show’s live performers. A triumph of technology and a remarkable performance by Liam.

Claire Richards

Claire is best known as one-fifth of STEPS, one of the UK’s all-time most successful pop groups. The band have sold over 20 million records with 14 top five singles and 3 number one albums. 2011 saw the band achieve another #1 album with their ‘The Ultimate Collection’ release, followed by a Sky 1 documentary series ‘Steps Reunion’ - the highest rated original programme on Sky that year.

In 2019 Claire released her first ever solo album ‘My Wildest Dreams’ on Sony UK which reached #1 on iTunes and #9 on the official UK chart it also featured three Radio 2 playlisted singles including the hit On My Own.

In Nov 2020, Claire and her Steps bandmates released their new album ‘What The Future Holds’ featuring the title track written by Sia. A follow-up album ‘What The Future Holds Pt. 2’ is scheduled for September.

Kevin Clifton

Strictly Star Kevin Clifton will debut as The Artilleryman. After thrilling audiences in the UK tour of ‘Rock of Ages', ‘Dirty Dancing the Musical’ and 'The Wedding Singer’, Kevin Clifton will return to the stage in 2022 in this exciting role. Kevin Clifton is best known as a Pro Dancer on BBC One’s, ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and is the only pro dancer to ever dance in four consecutive finals.
